Twins Pitcher Heading To Triple-A

After being designated for assignment by the Minnesota Twins and clearing waivers, Jharel Cotton is heading back to Triple-A.

Cotton had the power to reject this demotion and become a free agent, but he will now be staying put in the Twins' organization. However, just because he was removed from the 40-man roster for the second time this season doesn't automatically mean that we have seen the last of him with Minnesota.

Cotton has actually put together a solid start with the Twins in 2022, too. In four appearances, he had a 1.35 ERA to go along with seven strikeouts. However, he also had some control trouble, as he walked six batters in 6.2 innings pitched.
