Reds Pitcher Designated For Assignment

Earlier this week, the Cincinnati Reds claimed Robert Dugger off waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays. Now, his time on their 40-man roster is already over, as he has been designated for assignment.

Dugger appeared in one game for the Reds, and it wasn't a particularly impressive outing. In three innings pitched, he allowed three earned runs on five hits and one walk. With this development, he will now either be placed on waivers again or traded elsewhere.

Dugger has been on the move a lot during his short career thus far. In 25 career games over four seasons between the Marlins, Mariners, Reds, and Rays, he has a 0-6 record and 7.29 ERA. It will be interesting to see what happens from here for the 26-year-old.
