MLB Rumors: Cubs To Trade Veteran Pitcher

The Chicago Cubs have a 15-21 record and are looking like a club that will be sellers this trade deadline season. Wade Miley will likely be on the move because of it.

Miley is in the final year of his contract, so he could be a solid rental for a playoff team to acquire. He has been off to a good start with the Cubs thus far, too, as he has a 1-0 record, 2.70 ERA, and seven strikeouts. If he can continue to pitch this well for the remainder of the year, he definitely would get the Cubs a strong return in a hypothetical trade.

Miley's vast amount of MLB experience also helps make him an alluring trade target. In 285 career games between the Diamondbacks, Red Sox, Mariners, Orioles, Brewers, Astros, Reds, and Cubs, he has a 98-92 record and 4.14 ERA. With that, he is a one-time All-Star.
