Mets Outfielder Out Multiple Weeks

New York Mets outfielder Travis Jankowski has had hand surgery. He will be out for the next six to eight weeks at least.

Jankowski has gotten into a good amount of action with the Mets this season. In 33 games, he has zero home runs, two RBIs, and a .209 batting average. Although he hasn't been dominant at the plate, his strong fielding ability makes him a valuable piece to this roster.

Alas, here's to hoping that Jankowski has a quick and speedy recovery. It's always good for a club to have more outfield depth than not.
