Marlins Infielder Designated For Assignment

The Miami Marlins have designated Joe Dunand for assignment.

Dunand has not been utilized too often when with the Marlins, so perhaps this was a move that could have been predicted. Yet, he has also had some success at the plate, as he has one home run, one RBI, and a .300 batting average in 10 at-bats. In 20 games in Triple-A this year, he has two home runs, nine RBIs, and a .242 batting average.

It will be interesting to see if another team takes a chance on the 26-year-old from here.
