Mariners Promote Top Prospect

The Seattle Mariners have promoted George Kirby to their major league roster.

Mariner fans won't have to wait long to see Kirby in action, as he is set to start Sunday's contest against the Tampa Bay Rays. Naturally, this is a game that they all should be closing a very close eye.

Kirby is viewed as one of the top prospects in all of baseball. The 2019 first-round pick has been off to an excellent start in Double-A, so it isn't too shocking to see the Mariners give him a chance. In five starts, he sports a 2-0 record and 1.82 ERA. Last season, he was also effective, as his 5-3 record and 2.53 ERA show perfectly.
