Guardians Pitcher Transferred To 60-Day Injured List

Cleveland Guardians pitcher James Karinchak has not pitched this season due to a lower back injury. Now, he has been moved to the 60-day injured list. Because his time on the injured list started in early April, he is not able to come back until early June at least with this change.

The Guardians definitely would love Karinchak to get back to their bullpen as soon as possible. Over the last three seasons, he has appeared in 92 games for the team, where he has an 8-6 record and 3.49 ERA. Last campaign, he had a 7-4 record and 4.07 ERA in a career-high 60 games.

It will be intriguing to see when Karinchak is ready to return for the Guardians. With the team having a 16-17 record, they certainly could use all the help they can get to catch up to their AL Central rivals in the standings.
