Dodgers Make Flurry Of Pitching Moves

A lot of shuffling of the bullpen deck chairs for the Los Angeles Dodgers Tuesday afternoon, as they've made a series of moves, spearheaded by a troublesome injury to Tommy Kahnle.

32-year-old Kahnle is in his 8th major league season, and is coming off Tommy John surgery, so the fact that he's experiencing right forearm inflammation is not a good thing.

Left-hander Justin Bruihl was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City, taking the spot of lefty Caleb Ferguson, who was sent down after tossing just one inning for the big club.

In addition, righty Mitch White was activated from the Covid IL, while Ryan Pepiot has returned once again as the 27th man for a doubleheader today.

All of this, while making more room on the roster by transferring high-leverage reliever Blake Treinen to the 60-day IL. He will continue to rehab his shoulder, with the goal of a return post-All-Star Break.

And in a later development, the Dodgers also designated Shane Greene for assignment, to make room for the reinstatement of David Price off the IL.
