Top Free Agent Done For Season

Free-agent outfielder Michael Conforto has had shoulder surgery and will be out for the entirety of the 2022 season. He is expected to be ready to go by next year's Spring Training.

Conforto is the last big-name free agent still available on the market, but given this development, it's unlikely that he will be signing a contract. Instead, he will be focusing on healing from his surgery so he can be good to go in 2023.

Once Conforto is 100% healthy, there absolutely should still be a big market for him. Over the course of his seven-year MLB career, he has 132 home runs, 396 RBIs, and a .255 batting average in 757 games. With that, he is a one-time All-Star and well-known for his power-hitting ability.
