Marlins Acquire 2 Pitchers From Orioles

The Miami Marlins are staying busy, as they have acquired Tanner Scott and Cole Sulser from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for prospects Kevin Guerrero and Antonio Velez.

Scott is a very intriguing reliever to pay attention to this campaign. During the 2020 season with Baltimore, he was lights out, as he had a very impressive 1.31 ERA in 25 games. However, he struggled last season, as he had a much higher 5.17 ERA in 62 games. He will be aiming to find some of the magic he had two years ago, but now as a member of the Marlins.

Sulser just had a strong 2021 season with the Orioles. In 60 appearances, he sported a 5-4 record and 2.70 ERA. Thus, if he can pitch like this again, the Marlins will certainly be happy.

Alas, in this move, the Marlins have added two major league-level relievers to their bullpen. That certainly is something for their fans to be happy about.
