Diamondbacks Pitcher Placed On IL

The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed Luke Weaver on the 10-day injured list. The 28-year-old pitcher is currently dealing with elbow inflammation.

Weaver has appeared in one game for the Diamondbacks this season, where he allowed one run in 0.2 innings pitched. Overall, it wasn't the best of starts for him, but once he recovers, he of course will have plenty of time to improve his play.

In 90 career games between the St. Louis Cardinals and Diamondbacks, Weaver has a 23-35 record and 4.66 ERA. Once he officially returns, it will be intriguing to see how these numbers change. Yet, at least for now, he will have to be sidelined for a bit.

The Diamondbacks have a 1-3 record and will be looking to get some wins after their cold start. Yet, losing a pitcher like Weaver isn't the best news for them to help with that.
