Marlins Sign World Series MVP

The 2021 World Series MVP has found a new home, as the Miami Marlins have signed Jorge Soler to a three-year, $36 million contract.

Soler understandably received a lot of attention on the open market, as he just had a playoff run to remember. Furthermore, he also had a strong 2021 campaign in general, as he had 27 home runs, 70 RBIs, and a .223 batting average. Yet, it's important to note that he heated up immensely after he went from the Royals to the Braves, as he had 14 home runs and a .269 batting average in 55 games.

Soler has had himself a very good career in general, too. In 661 career games between the Chicago Cubs, Royals, and Braves, the 30-year-old outfielder has 121 home runs, 343 RBIs, and a .246 batting average. With that, he had a career-high 48 home runs back in 2019 and has two World Series rings on his resume.

Nevertheless, this is a very solid signing by the Marlins. Let's see what the veteran outfielder does from here.
