Angels Pitcher Done For The Season

AJ Ramos' 2022 season is likely over before it even started, as the 35-year-old reliever has been diagnosed with a torn shoulder capsule.

This is terrible to hear, as Ramos has been dealing with shoulder problems for several seasons now. Over the last three years, he only has appeared in seven games. With that, he had to sit out the entirety of the 2019 campaign, too. Therefore, his injury trouble has not been able to go away, and this setback only heightens that.

In 381 career games between the Miami Marlins, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies, and Angels, Ramos has a 17-18 record, 3.04 ERA, and 99 saves. During his prime years, he was an immensely reliable reliever and even made the All-Star Game in 2016. With this latest injury, time will tell if he will even be able to eventually build on these numbers.

Nevertheless, here's to hoping Ramos has a speedy recovery and can return to the mound during the 2023 season.
