Rumor: Two Stars To Sign Before December 1st

December 1st is an immensely important day for baseball. It is when the expected MLB lockout will begin. Although there will likely be many free agents who will not sign before it, there are two very notable ones who could do just that - Corey Seager and Marcus Semien. According to Jeff Passan, their markets have accelerated significantly and they could make their decisions shortly.
It's easy to understand why both Seager and Semien are fielding so many offers already. They are easily among the best free agents available this offseason.

In 95 games this season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Seager had 16 home runs, 57 RBIs and a .306 batting average. Although he had injury trouble, it was another strong campaign for the 27-year-old. His previous accomplishments also will help his value naturally. In 2020, he not only won the World Series, but was the both the World Series MVP and NLCS MVP. Furthermore, he is a two-time All-Star, two-time Silver Slugger winner and was NL Rookie of the Year in 2016.

Semien, on the other hand, had a career year. In 162 games with the Toronto Blue Jays, he had 45 home runs, 102 RBIs and a .265 batting average. With that, he was understandably an All-Star and also won a Silver Slugger Award and Gold Glove Award. After a campaign like that, Semien is destined to sign a monstrous contract.

There have been numerous teams on both of these players, so it will be intriguing to see where they end up. Got any predictions? Let us know in the comments!
