Marwin Gonzalez Is Officially Returning To The Houston Astros

Marwin Gonzalez is officially a member of the Houston Astros again. The team signed him to a minor-league contract at the end of last month. However, he's now once again joining their major-league squad, as they have selected his contract.

Gonzalez spent this season with the Boston Red Sox before being released last month. In 77 games with the team, he had a .202 batting average to go along with 2 home runs and 20 RBIs. Things just did not work out for him in Boston, so he's hoping to rebound with his former club.

Gonzalez played for the Astros from 2012 to 2018. His best days a major-leaguer happened there and that was especially the case during the 2017 season. In 134 games, he had 23 home runs, 90 RBIs and a .303 batting average. His contributions certainly helped the Houston Astros during their World Series run.

Here's to hoping Gonzalez can find his old form back in Houston.
