Boston Red Sox Ace Chris Sale Placed On COVID-19 Injured List
Boston Red Sox ace Chris Sale has been placed on the COVID-19 injured list after testing positive for the illness. The Red Sox have been dealing with an ongoing outbreak and have multiple players out from it.
Sale recently came back from after missing the entirety of the 2020 season and has done very well thus far. In five games, he has a 3-0 record and 2.52 ERA. He also pitched an immaculate inning, so he was looking like his old self. It makes the loss of him hard to see for baseball fans.More big trouble for the Red Sox: Chris Sale tested positive for COVID-19 and won't pitch Sunday.https://t.co/1RTiNInNgz

With the Red Sox currently in the Wild Card race, it is rough for them that Sale will be out. They currently are at the top of it, but only are ahead of the New York Yankees by one game, and the Toronto Blue Jays by 1.5 games.
On the bright side, star shortstop Xander Bogaerts was activated after his bout with the sickness earlier today as well.
Here's to hoping that the entire Red Sox team stays or gets healthy as they deal with this rough outbreak.
