Chicago White Sox Dealt Another Huge Injury Blow

The Chicago White Sox have lost another starter from the lineup for the foreseeable future as catcher Yasmani Grandal is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a torn tendon in his knee.

The injury occurred during Monday's game against the Minnesota Twins and you could tell immediately the news was going to be bad. Grandal was placed on the 10-day injured list by the team on Tuesday as the White Sox now have four regulars out of the lineup.

The team called up Seby Zavala from their Triple-A affiliate to fill the roster spot. As for Grandal, the tear happened on a check swing during the sixth inning against the Twins. When he left the ball park on crutches a tear or at least a bad sprain was expected.

Chicago's catcher has 14 HR and 38 RBI in 63 games this season and now joins Luis Robert, Nick Madrigal and Eloy Jimenez on the side lines for the White Sox. Look for Zack Collins to get the majority of the work behind the plate in Grandal's absence.
