VIDEO: The REAL Home Run Derby Took Place Friday Night Around the Majors!

Everyone's excited about the home run hitting contest in Coors Field next month, but the major league's real HR derby is taking place on a nightly basis, between Vlad Guerrero Jr., Shoehi Ohtani and Fernando Tatis Jr.

All three were at it again Friday night. First up, Shoehei Ohtani:

Long ball... Small ball... Ohtani can do it all, following up his mammoth leadoff 453 foot shot with a running bunt single in his next at-bat. Incredible stuff. Ohtani's leadoff blast tied him with Vlad Guerrero Jr. for the major league lead at 24.

Ok, Vladdy, over to you:

With his rocket to center, Guerrero re-takes the lead at 25 HR.

Not to be outdone, later in the evening, Fernando Tatis Jr. says 'hey, don't forget about me':

Three HR in four innings brings him into a tie with Vladdy, at 25!

So Tatis and Guerrero are not going to participate in the Derby at Coors Field? No problemo. This is a season-long HR Derby.
