LA Dodgers Dealt Brutal News Regarding Corey Seager

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager is supposed to be recovering from a fractured right hand but it turns out the recovery isn't going so well.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts met with the media on Monday and shed some light on what exactly is going on. From all accounts it sounds like Seager's rehab has hit a snag and the team is worried about his health. Roberts admitted the injury has plateaued and isn't responding to treatment:

He can still feel it when he hits. We're going to put (hitting) on the back burner and slow-play it right now.

At 27, Seager should still have those young bones but apparently he just needs some more time. He's a free agent at the end of the season so there's no doubt he wants to be back into the lineup ASAP. He's slashing .265/.361/.422 with four HR and 22 RBI. He hasn't played since being hit by a pitch on May 15, and was only supposed to be out a month. Turns out he's still weeks away.
