Chicago Cubs Sign Pitcher

The Chicago Cubs have signed Nick Neidert to a minor league contract.

Neidert made one appearance for the Miami Marlins this season, where he allowed two earned runs in five innings pitched. Over the course of this three-year tenure as a Marlin, he had a 1-3 record to go along with a 4.59 ERA. Overall, the sample size was small, but let's see if he can get into more action as a Cub from here.

At worst, the Cubs have added to their pitching depth with this signing, but let's see if Neidert can be more than that from here.
