Move Over Roger Maris—Aaron Judge Is The New HR King

With only one home run in his last 12 games, and only one day left in the regular season, some were wondering if he would get there. But was there really ever any doubt? All Rise... There's a new single-season home run king in the American League:

Aaron Judge cranked his record 62nd home run, to pass former Yankee great Roger Maris for the AL home run record. A solo HR, deep to left, in the first inning in Texas, is the record-breaking blast.

Judge had tied Maris last week in Toronto and needed five more games to hit the record-breaker, in the Yankees' penultimate game of the season.

The ball is expected to be worth at least $2M, according to some reports.
