Reds Designate Infielder for Assignment

The Cincinnati Reds have designated infielder Max Schrock for assignment.
It's probably safe to assume Schrock will clear waivers, but who knows what will happen.

The twenty-seven-year-old has appeared in 13 games for the Reds this season, hitting just .154, with an RBI and a run scored. Schrock was actually pretty decent last season for the Reds, appearing in 53 games but slashing a solid .288/.328/.448, with three home runs, 14 RBI and one stolen base.

In the minors this season, he's hit for a .304 batting average with a pair of home runs and nine RBI over just 69 at-bats. Schrock is a former 13th-round pick of the Washington Nationals in the 2015 MLB Draft.
