Ken Rosenthal Predicts The Braves’ Response To Ozuna Situation

Many around baseball are upset that Marcell Ozuna is still around the Atlanta Braves after being arrested for the second straight season. According to MLB Insider Ken Rosenthal, the Braves are going by the book here, and waiting until they have all the legal facts before doing what everyone expects them to do in the end:

"The Braves aren't gonig to do anything until... the legal process is resolved... But, this is Ozuna's second arrest in 15 months. The first was for a domestic violence incident involving his wife...

"He is owed a total of $41M, including $37M in 2023 and 2024.

"Once (the legal matter) all resolves... I would expect the Braves to act and to release him. And the reason is that he was not contributing to the team in any way at all... It's a lot of money to eat, but if ever there was a time and a player to do it with, this would be the one."

Soon enough, Ozuna won't be able to say this anymore:

As he told the police officers who stopped him at 3:30am on Friday, “I’m Ozuna from the Braves.”
