Two Key Braves Players Nearing Return

Braves' players Eddie Rosario and pitcher Tyler Matzek are beginning rehab assignments soon.
Rosario has been on the injured list since April 25 after undergoing a surgical procedure to correct blurred vision and swelling in his eye. The thirty-year old has been performing baseball activities recently with no issue and, if all continues to go well, will begin a rehab assignment in the next week.

He will require quite a few rehab games, considering how much time he's been away from the game, but if everything progresses smoothly Rosario could have a shot at returning to the defending World Series champions' roster by the All-Star break.

Pitcher Tyler Matzek is also close to beginning a rehab assignment soon.
The left-hander has been on the injured list since mid-May due to left shoulder inflammation. On the season, Matzek has a 5.06 ERA in 10 innings with 10 strikeouts.

When healthy, Matzek is one of the best setup men in the MLB and his return will give the Braves' bullpen a major boost.

Since 2020, when Matzek joined the Braves, the thirty-one year old has a sparkling 2.89 ERA, 1.22 WHIP with 130 strikeouts in 102 innings.
