Orioles Infielder Has Tommy John Surgery

Jahmai Jones' 2022 season is over, as the second baseman has had Tommy John surgery.

Jones spent the entirety of this campaign with Triple-A Norfolk. In 27 games, he had two home runs, seven RBIs, and a .212 batting average. Overall, it's fair to say that he struggled at the plate this year, but his injury trouble is likely to blame for that. Unfortunately for him, he now will not be getting called up this year.

Jones made appearances during the two previous seasons between the Angels and Orioles. In 29 career games, he has zero home runs four RBIs, and a .176 batting average. Alas, here's to hoping that the 24-year-old has a speedy recovery and can return to the majors in 2023.
